PestPatrol is a powerful security and personal privacy tool that detects and eliminates destructive pests like trojans, spyware, adware and hacker tools. Scan All Files on C Drive - Exclude \temp folder:
Objective

Scan your C: drive but exclude the c:\temp folder.

Tasks
Do the following:
1. Go to the Scan main tab
2. Double-click any entry in the Selected for Scanning window to remove each entry.
3. Go to the Available for Scanning window.
4. Select (C:) in the Scan Shell Tree
5. Click the Add button. C:\ will be the only entry in the Selected for Scanning window.
6. Go to the Options => Where to Search tab
7. Click the All Files selection.
8. Go to the Options => What to Exclude tab.

Note: c:\recycled is already there. We do not recommend wasting time scanning this folder.

9. Click the Add button. You will get a dialog box.
10. Click the + next to (C:). The list will expand.
11. Select the temp folder.
12. Click the OK button. C:\temp will be added to the exclude list.
13.Click the Start button.

Result
When the scan has completed you will:
- be at the Logs => Detected! tab.
- have a detailed listing of the pests detected and information about each pest.
- know the number of files scanned and number of pests found by checking the status bar at the bottom of the window.
- know the status of all procedures running in your computer by going to the Advanced => Running Processes tab.
- know the status of all of your startup files by going to the Advanced => Startup Files tab.
